ROME, Ga. – Sophomores Takumi Katsuda and Jonas Krahofer pulled off a huge upset for The University of Texas Permian Basin men's tennis team at the ITA Cup.   
 
In the North Draw Semi-Finals, Katsuda and Krahofer defeated Cedric Drenth and Daniel Grey of Wayne State (Mich.), 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 (Tie Breaker).  They were the Number One seed in the tournament.
 
Due to the ITA Cup format, the North Draw Final will not be played.

"Takumi and Jonas took down the number one seed and a team that were two-time NCAA All-America.   It's a fantastic way to end their run at the ITA Cup.   They made history by being the first doubles teams in school history to qualify.  They go 2-1 to boot.  I'm so proud of these two!"
