Freshman Takumi Katsuda's run in the ITA Regional Championships reached the semifinals on Friday in both singles and doubles action.  He teamed up with Jonas Krahofer to upset the eighth seed in the quarterfinals before falling in the semis to the one seed.  He will open tomorrow against fourth seeded Joaquin Bianchi of UT Tyler.  

Katsuda started the day with a straight set singles win before winning in a third set tiebreaker in the quarterfinals.  

His doubles partner Krahofer has played strong in the consolation bracket reaching the semis there.  He'll take on Midwestern State's Stefan Andrei who went into the event seeded 13th.
