Looking for another spark to the offense this season, UT Permian Basin has added Evan Palmquist. Palmquist was the leading scorer at Lamar State Port Arthur College last season where he averaged 15.3 points per game and reached double figures 28 times.
Palmquist filled the stat sheet on multiple occasions including a season high 28 points. Against Coastal Bend College he finished with 26 points and was a perfect 10-for-10 shooting. In his lone season he made 69 three-pointers and twice pulled down 10 rebounds. Prior to Lamar State Port Arthur College, Palmquist played at McNeese State here he saw limited action across eight games.
"Evan can really shoot the ball. He is athletic and can score the ball in multiple ways," said Head Coach
Kyle Tolin. "He can stretch the floor for us and has the ability to knock down big shots. Evan was steady all year long and we are counting on him making shots and being a consistent offensive force for us every day."
