Lunday averaged 19 points and 9.5 rebounds per game during UTPB's first two games of the season. Lunday led the Falcons with 14 points on 9-for-12 shooting from the free throw line and tied for the game-high with eight rebounds as UTPB lost its season opener 81-69 against Adams State University (Nov. 14). Lunday then led UTPB with 24 points and 11 rebounds, good for his first double-double two games into his career as a Falcon, as UTPB picked up its first win of the season, 83-71, over Western Colorado University (Nov. 15). He also pulled down a game-high nine rebounds and was again a merchant at the free throw line, where he finished 10-for-11. The next day in a 78-64 loss vs. the No. 20 University of Arkansas Fort Smith (Dec. 17), Lunday finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds for his fifth 20-point game and fourth double-double of the season, all while shooting a season-high 69.2 percent (9-13) from the field.

Lunday was 9-for-11 from the free throw line against the Aggies, and went to the free throw line with 20 seconds left in double overtime and made both shots to make it 113-108, effectively sealing the victory.

He drained at least three 3-pointers in 15 games, including each of the final 10 games of the year, and made five or more 3-pointers six times. Earlier this year, Taylor was named UTPB's Men's Student-Athlete of the Month for January and was named the Lone Star Conference's Offensive Player of the Week after scoring 35 points, the third most points in a single game in the LSC this season, in a 100-95 overtime road win over Texas A&M International University on Thursday, January 22. In addition, his 12 assists vs. The University of Texas at Dallas (Jan. 17) were the second-most in the LSC this season. In the LSC, Taylor ranked eighth in points per game and was fifth in assists per game and 14th in steals per game. He was also first in the conference in made threes per game (3.0) and was second in 3-point field goal percentage and fifth in made 3-pointers. He also led the LSC with 26 field goal attempts and 18 3-point field goals attempts in one game vs. Midwestern State (Feb. 19) during UTPB's final week at home. He attempted at least 19 field goals in a game four times, attempted at least 13 3-pointers in a game four times, scored at least 28 points in four games, and dished out at least eight assists in four games as well. In addition, his 14 free throw attempts (12-14) against TAMIU where the most free throw attempts by any Falcon this season.
In his first 30-point game of the season, Taylor finished with 31 points and 10 rebounds to help the Falcons earn a 103-93 win over MSU Denver (Nov. 29) in its final game of the CSU Pueblo Thanksgiving Classic. Taylor shot 9-for-21 from the field, 6-for-15 from three, and was 7-of-9 from the free throw line in the win.

UTPB's 100-95 overtime win at Texas A&M International came thanks to a herculean effort by Taylor, who hit the game-tying 3-pointer with 4.4 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime and finished the game with 35 points. Taylor shot 9-for-16 from the field, 5-for-8 from three and 12-for-14 from the free throw line, but in addition to his 35 points, added a team-high nine rebounds, a team-high five assists, and a game-high four steals. He scored 20 points in the second half and added six more points in the overtime period. With UTPB on the comeback trail for most of the second half, Taylor did his best to be aggressive down the stretch and keep the Falcons in it, scoring 18 points in the final 6:34 of regulation.
