Box Score In a tightly contested opening round battle of the Lone Star Conference playoffs, UT Permian Basin Men's Tennis was just a few points away from pulling off the upset over 2-seeded UT Tyler.

The Falcons got things going in doubles play with a victory by the team of Hector Flores and Patryk Kosinski on the top line.  They took their match 6-3 giving the team the chance for the doubles point.  It came down to the No. 3 spot where the Falcons fell in a tiebreaker 11-9.  Jorge Garcia had taken his opening set in singles before the match was called in favor of the Patriots 4-0.
