Box Score 2 UT Permian Basin Tennis took four matches from one of the best in the Lone Star Conference on Saturday and nearly pulled off the upset over Midwestern State.
The women started the day in doubles where all three went down to the wire. Even though the Falcons came up short, all three contests had an identical 6-4 final. The team picked up both of their points in singles play when
Rhea Singh cruised in the No. 2 match and
Krystal Smith took the No. 5 match in three sets.
The men also were close against the nationally ranked Mustangs.
Jorge Garcia gutted out a comeback win in three sets while
Jonah Neumaier fell in a tight three-set match.
Patryk Kosinski dominated in No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win.
