Box Score 2 UT Permian Basin Tennis took four matches from one of the best in the Lone Star Conference on Saturday and nearly pulled off the upset over Midwestern State.
Â
The women started the day in doubles where all three went down to the wire. Even though the Falcons came up short, all three contests had an identical 6-4 final. The team picked up both of their points in singles play when
Rhea Singh cruised in the No. 2 match and
Krystal Smith took the No. 5 match in three sets.Â
Â
The men also were close against the nationally ranked Mustangs.Â
Jorge Garcia gutted out a comeback win in three sets while
Jonah Neumaier fell in a tight three-set match.Â
Patryk Kosinski dominated in No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win.

The Falcons hit the road for another LSC contest next Saturday at UT Tyler. Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the team all season long.
