MATCHDAY: Falcons Eye First Match Win of the Spring

2/7/2022 9:00:00 AM

Your Falcons

Both UT Permian Basin Men's and Women's Tennis will compete against Southeastern Oklahoma State in Plano, Texas.

The Falcons are coming off a strong performance against UT Arlington as the No. 1 pairing of Patryk Kosinski and Hector Flores gave the Mavricks a scare, but they were not able to pull out the upset as they fell 7-5.

On the women's side Krystal Smith fell in her matchup, but she was able to take seven points and Lore Mewis fell in a tiebreaker.

The women won their last match against the Savage Storm 4-3 on March 31, 2019. The men haven't been as fortunate as the women as they are looking for their first win over the Savage Storm.

Southeastern Oklahoma State

The Savage Storm have not played a match yet this spring.

The Falcons next match will be at the Bush Tennis Center in Midland as the women will face the Air Force Academy. Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the Falcons all season long.
