Pedro Astacio went 3-for-5 in the doubleheader for UT Permian Basin against Texas A&M International on Sunday. He hit a three-run home run in Game 1 of action, and he was the only Falcon to have a multi-hit game in Game 2.
 
After the Dustdevils scored in the first the Falcons responded with a pair of their own in the top of the second. Oswaldo Godina hit a solo home run to lead off the inning and Garret Thornton followed by reaching base. Later in the inning Christian Rodriguez singled to the shortstop scoring Thornton.
 
Hayden Matthewson hit a solo shot in the sixth and Astacio hit his three-run home run in the seventh as the Falcons fell 15-6.
 
In Game 2 the Falcons could only muster one run as it came in the seventh. Michael Clapperton hit a sacrifice fly scoring Marcus Johnson as the Falcons fell 9-1.
 
Mario Macias pitched two innings in his Falcon debut striking out four Dustdevils. In Game 2 Andre Layva closed out the game pitching 2.1 innings of no-hit ball while striking out two in the outing.
