Avalon Munoz led the way for UT Permian Basin Women's Basketball as she scored 20 points against Western New Mexico. She tied for the lead in assists with two other Falcons and she added a pair of steals.

Kamari Portalis got the Falcons started with a three a minute into the game to give the Falcons the lead 3-2. The Falcons kept the lead until the 5:11 mark of the quarter, but a
Ogechi Nwodo layup took it right back. The Mustangs ended the quarter on a run to give them a one-point lead at the end of the period.

Rory Carter gave the lead back to the Falcons with a three with 7:56 to go in the half. After a couple of Mustang baskets, the Falcons went on a 7-0 run to give them a six-point lead. The Mustangs responded with a run of their own late in the quarter, to give them a 35-31 lead at the half.

Neither team took momentum in the third quarter as both teams took turns knocking down shots. In the final quarter the Falcons took the lead on a 14-0 run, to go up 59-55. Munoz led the charge with seven points during the run. The Falcon offense went cold after the run and couldn't hold onto the lead as they fell 69-65.

Morgan Helgesen led with three steals.
