The Falcons
- The Falcons are in a tight race in the Lone Star Conference playoffs. They currently sit 10th but can still finish as high as 7th in the conference.

- Miles Daniels has taken his game to another level over the last few weeks. Last week he averaged 27 points per game and dropped a season high 28 on Saturday. On Thursday he scored a career high 31 points and had 18 in the opening nine minutes of play.
- Jordan Horn became the eighth player in program history to reach 800 points as a Falcon on Thursday. He is also fourth in program history with 127 made three-pointers.
- Last week DaJuan Jones set the program single season assists record. He currently has 174 on the year.
- This is a match-up of two of the best shooting teams in the conference. Entering Saturday the Falcons are second in team field goal percentage at .483 while the Lions shoot .466.
- The Falcons are 4-0 all-time against the Lions in the Falcon Dome. This will be the final meeting between the teams in Odessa before the Lions move to the Southland Conference.
The Lions
- The Lions have home court in the opening round of the playoffs locked in despite losing three in a row.
- They currently sit fifth in the South Central Regional rankings that came out earlier this week.
- Commerce controls the paint and leads the LSC in blocked shots with 137.
