Both UT Permian Basin Men's and Women's Basketball face must win situations heading into Saturday, the final day of the regular season, before the Lone Star Conference playoffs.  The conference playoffs begin Tuesday and the men have their spot locked up, but where and who they will be playing is still up in the air as they welcome Texas A&M – Commerce, the No. 5 team in the South Central Region.  The women need a win over No. 4 Commerce in order to have a chance at making the postseason.  Below is all the scenarios for both teams.

Women vs No. 4 Texas A&M Commerce – 2 PM – Odessa, TX

• Win and a loss by Arkansas Fort Smith

 The only scenario for the women would clinch them the No. 12 seed on the final day of the regular season.  While seeding throughout the rest of the conference would shuffle, this would lock Commerce into the No. 5 spot and force a rematch with the Lions on Tuesday.
 
Men vs Texas A&M – Commerce – 4 PM – Odessa, TX
The men currently sit 10^th, but can finish as high as seventh with a win and some other results go their way on Saturday.
UTPB WIN AND…

• Angelo State loss and Arkansas Fort Smith loss, the Falcons would be the No. 7 seed and host Angelo State on Tuesday.
• Angelo State win and Arkansas Fort Smith loss, the Falcons would be the No. 8 seed and host St. Edward's.
• Angelo State loss and Arkansas Fort Smith win, the Falcons would be the No. 8 seed and host St. Edward's.
• Angelo State wins and Arkansas Fort Smith wins, the Falcons would be the No. 9 seed.  Attention would then turn to the Midwestern State game.  Should the Mustangs win the Falcons will rematch the Lions on Tuesday in Commerce.  Should the Mustangs lose the Falcons will head to Wichita Falls.

 
UTPB LOSS AND…

• Angelo State loss and Arkansas Fort Smith loss, the Falcons would be the No. 9 seed and travel to Angelo State.
• Angelo State win, Arkansas Fort Smith loss, and Midwestern State win, the Falcons would be the No. 10 seed and travel to Angelo State.
• Angelo State win, Arkansas Fort Smith loss, and Midwestern State loss, the Falcons remain the No. 10 seed but instead would travel to Midwestern State.
• Angelo State loss, Arkansas Fort Smith win, and Midwestern State win, the Falcons would be the No. 10 seed and travel to UAFS.
• Angelo State loss, Arkansas Fort Smith win, and Midwestern State loss, the Falcons are the No. 10 seed and travel to Midwestern State.
• Angelo State win, Arkansas Fort Smith win, Midwestern State win, the Falcons are the No. 10 seed and travel to Angelo State.
• Angelo State win, Arkansas Fort Smith win, and Midwestern State loss, the Falcons are the No. 10 seed and travel to UAFS.

Arkansas Fort Smith tips off at 2 PM, so by the start of the men's game the playoff picture will become much clearer.
