Just when you think
Miles Daniels couldn't one-up himself, the senior scored a career high 28 points for UT Permian Basin.  The senior now has four 20-point games over the last five contests.  His 28 points were the most this season by any Falcon, besting the 27 he scored against Randall back in December.

Daniels knocked down his first shot of the afternoon at Arkansas – Fort Smith and continued to stay hot.  The Falcons led early after a three by
Kendal Frey, but the Lions went on an extended run to go up 10.  Threes by Daniels and
Jordan Horn kept the Falcons within four, but the Lions responded and pushed their lead back to double digits.  Daniels hit a three at the buzzer to send the teams to the locker rooms with the Falcons behind 40-33.

Daniels was hot from deep early in the second half and along with another three by Horn brought the Falcons to within a point.  That was as close as they'd get, as the Lions went on an 11-0 run to pull away and put the game out of reach for the 78-67 final.

Daniels finished the game 7-of-11 from deep.  Horn finished with 16 points, giving him 798 for his career.
Lemmie Howard had 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
DaJuan Jones added seven assists and five rebounds to the effort.

The Falcons return to Odessa for the final homestand of the season.  On Thursday they'll face UT Tyler before welcoming Texas A&M – Commerce for Senior Day on Saturday.  Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the team all season long.
