Jordan Horn has upped his level of play over the last few weeks and may have taken it to another level on Saturday for UT Permian Basin Men's Basketball. The senior went off for 26 points and 10 rebounds, while knocking down a career-high seven threes against Texas A&M – Kingsville. Fellow sharpshooter
Miles Daniels was hot early, hitting five from long range en route to 19 points on the afternoon.
Daniels came out of the gate on fire, connecting on his first three three-point attempts to put the Falcons up seven. The Javelinas responded and tightened the game with a run of their own, but the Falcons stayed on top thanks to threes by Daniels and
Kendal Frey. A pair of Horn threes pushed the lead to as many as nine, but another Javelina run kept them in the game. After trading buckets in the final two minutes the score was 38-36 Falcons heading into the half.
Both teams struggled out of the locker rooms before trading points back-and-forth. The Falcons continued to struggle while Javelinas went on a 21-7 run to pull away, but a late 7-0 run by the Falcons made things interesting. Horn connected on a three with 42 seconds left and had a chance to make it a one-possession game moments later, but it wasn't enough for the 77-69 final.
Kendal Frey added seven points and six rebounds.
Keyon Craddock had a team-high five assists while
DaJuan Jones had four in limited action off the bench.
