Arnie Taguines had a strong fall season and punctuated that with a second-place finish in the Dennis Rose Invitational at Hapuna Golf Course in Waimea, Hawaii. She finished the event at E over two rounds.
The freshman birdied twice and was +3 in the final round which featured eight ranked teams.
Kayla Perera had a rough start but righted the ship with nine straight pars to finish +2 for the day and tied for 38
th overall.
Eugenie Varet had three birdies to finish in 45
th place at +11. Behind her was
Anaya Perales at +14 and
Keixa Lopez at +21.
As a team the Falcons finished ninth and were ahead of two other ranked squads including No. 2 West Texas A&M. The Falcons are done for the fall and will resume competition in the spring in The Cactus Thaw in El Paso on February 7. Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the team all season long.
