In a back and forth night where each set was only decided by a handful of points between UT Permian Basin and Texas A&M International, it was

The Falcons jumped out to a four-point lead early in the opening set before the Dustdevils tied it with a 4-0 run. After trading points the Dustdevils took a 23-19 lead and were poised to take the set. The Falcons would fight off three set points before eventually taking 26-25 lead and had set point of their own. The Dustdevils flipped the scipt and fought off three set points of their own before taking the first set 30-28.
Set two went back and forth before teh Dustdevils went on an 8-0 run. Trailing 20-14, the Falcons climbed back in the set with a 4-0 run. It was a little too late as after climbing to within two points, the teams traded each successive rally through the end of the set.
After exchanging blows in the third set the visitors created a little wiggle room with a 3-0 run. The teams traded three-point runs but the Dustdevils built just enough cushion to take the set 25-23.
