The brilliant fall of UT Permian Basin Women's Golf continued Tuesday with a second place finish at the Music City Invite at Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Falcons finished two shots behind Missouri-St. Louis, who came in ranked No. 13.
The trio of
Anaya Perales,
Arnie Taguines, and
Eugenie Varet all finished in the top 10. Perales and Taguines finished the event at +2 (146) to tie for fifth. Varet was not far behind in ninth place with a score of +5 (149).
Kayla Perera finished strong with a +10 (154) to tie for 20th. Rounding out the Falcons was
Keixa Lopez at +15 (159).
Perales did her damage on par 4's, finishing them at even par. She also tied for third in the field with 24 pars, playing the two rounds consistently. Taguines had a big week on par 5's with a score of -4. She also led the team with six birdies and had 23 pars along with an eagle. Varet was even par on par 3's.
