Aquincia Strambler and
Taurie Magee once again provided the offensive power for UT Permian Basin Volleyball on Saturday at No. 15 West Texas A&M. The duo had eight kills each while
Chandra Reed chipped in seven.
The Falcons started hot, taking a two-shot lead early in the first set. Momentum traded hands back-and-forth before the Lady Buffs went on a 6-0 run to close out the set. The Falcons gave up an early run in the second and third sets and fell behind early, unable to climb back into it against the defending Lone Star Conference champions.
Devin Alcoser led the way with 15 assists.
Daylee Doggett carried the defense with eight digs while Strambler added seven.
It's a quick turnaround for the Falcons as they stay on the road to face Western New Mexico on Monday. Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the team all season long.
