Daylee Doggett showed her defensive skills in the end of the Denton Volleyfest. She recorded 19 digs in the first match against Southwestern Oklahoma State and 17 against Southwest Baptist.

In the first match against Southwestern Oklahoma State the Falcons were toe to toe with the Bulldogs all the way through the match the Bulldogs ended the first set on a 5-2 run to take the set 25-21.

In set two, the Bulldogs went up 11-4 and did not look back as they took the set 25-14. In the third set UTPB ended on a 5-0 run, but it wasn't enough to overcome an early deficit as they fell in three sets.

Taurie Magee led the defense with five blocks while
Stephanie Sanchez added three blocks.
Daylee Doggett led in digs while
Isela Murillo had 10.

In the second match of the day against Southwest Baptist the Falcons found more offensive success. With set one tied 17-17, the Falcons went on an 8-2 run, including six straight to take the set 25-19.

In the second set, the Falcons and Bearcats were even ground early until the Falcons collected a 6-1 run to go up 15-10. They used another 6-1 run late in the set to take it 25-19.

The last set of the match saw the Falcons take the lead in the middle of an 8-1. The Bearcats came back and forced a set point at 24-23, but the Falcons collected three straight kills from three different players to cap the 26-24 match victory.

Aquincia Strambler led the Falcons with 15 kills and Murillo also earned double digit kills with 11 of her own.
Analise Lucio had 39 assists during the match along with 13 digs, which were third on the team. Doggett led the Falcons in digs and Murillo had 14. Â
Stephanie Sanchez and
Chandra Reed had two blocks each to lead the defense.
