Cole Dickie ended the UT Permian Basin Baseball road schedule with a bang, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a pair of doubles, and three RBI. Dickie powered the offense, driving in three of the team's five runs against No. 11 Angelo State.
The Falcons and Rams finished their suspended game from yesterday to start the day.
Tyler Stone came in to pitch the resumed game, throwing 4.2 innings of four hit ball and striking out three Rams. The Falcons just couldn't get the bats going as they fell 5-0.
In the regularly scheduled contest, the Falcons got a couple of runs in the fourth inning on Dickie's two-run home run scoring Colin Fabio, who led off the inning reaching on a single through the left side.
Michael Clapperton kept the momentum going as he reached on a double after Dickie's homer. Clapperton would cross home plate on an error for the third run of the game. Dickie once again did damage in the in the fifth hitting a double to left field scoring
Oswaldo Godina for the fourth run of the game. The final run for the Falcons came in the sixth as
Hayden Matthewson homered to left field, but it wasn't enough as the Falcons couldn't slow down one of the best offenses in the nation and fell 17-5.
Luis Dominguez pitched a hitless inning of relief for the Falcons. The Falcons had 11 hits including six for extra bases.
