Devin Ferrari sent the home crowd home happy with a no-doubt, walkoff blast to left field with one out in the ninth to give the Falcons an 8-7 victory over Lubbock Christian in their first game at Roden Field since opening weekend.

Down three in the top of the second, Jojo Allen singled to center scoring Ferrari to cut the deficit to 3-1. The Chaps answered back in the third, but so did the Falcons. Garret Thornton singled in Pemron Burrows to hold the deficit at two. Once again the Chaps answered with a run of their own to take a 5-2 lead in their half of the fourth.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Falcons tied the game. Nick Hernandez hit a sacrifice fly to center scoring Jay DeSoto. Ferrari then doubled to right center scoring Thornton and Allen followed with a single to score Ferrari and tied the game 5-5 after five innings of play.

The Falcons took the lead in the sixth as Thornton walked with the bases loaded to bring in Hayden Matthewson and Hernandez hit another sacrifice fly to center to bring in Burrows for a 7-5 lead. The Chaps tied it in the seventh, but Ferrari's homer in the ninth walked it off for the Falcons 8-7.

Devin Ferrari went 3-for-5 with three runs scored, two doubles, and two RBI. Jojo Allen also went 3-for-5 with two RBI. Garret Thornton had two hits with two RBI and a run scored.

Tyler Stone picked up the win throwing 3.1 innings of relief, striking out four Chaps and allowed just one earned run for his second win of the season.
