Monika Cantu continued her strong play of late, forcing another three-set match in singles while also pushing her doubles match deep into the set.  In singles play, two of the six matches against Texas A&M - Kingsville went the distance and was decided in the third set while another needed tiebreakers in both the first and second sets.

Cantu and her partner
Krystal Smith played a back-and-forth doubles match before dropping a key point and the match 6-4.  Maria and
Mariah Briones also pushed their doubles opponent before falling 6-4.

The margin was razor thin in the No. 1 singles match between
Lore Mewis and Maya Donkor.  While it only lasted two sets, Mewis pushed Donkor with both sets going into a tiebreaker.  The freshman couldn't hold on falling in both 7-5.  Cantu pushed her match to three sets in the No. 5 singles spot.  After splitting the first two sets 6-4, Cantu fell in the decisive set 10-5.
Krystal Smith also fell in three sets.  Playing in the No. 2 spot, she took the second set 7-5 before falling in the third set.
