Playing in the number-1 doubles slot, Jorge Garcia and Hector Flores were within a few points of pulling off the upset.  The duo only trailed 4-3 when the match was declared after UT Arlington won the other two doubles matches.
 
Things started well in singles play, with every match being tied at two.  Despite dropping the first set, Paul Schwieger and Aditya Iyer battled tough in the second set, with each player being tied when their matches were called.  The Mavericks took the contest 4-0.
 
"Jorge and Hector were playing their best tennis of the season but were just unable to finish the match once UT Arlington clinched the point," said Head Coach Stan Anderson.  "We started off really well but lost a couple big points and the momentum of the match changed.  I am really happy with the focus and determination the guys showed today.  We played really well and just need to make a few more shots."
