Adam Rivera moved into the top-five in career rebounds in his final home game as a member of UT Permian Basin Men's Basketball. The senior finished the day with 10 points and seven rebounds, giving him 401 for his career.
Trevion Lamar flirted with a triple-double against Midwestern State, finishing with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists.
In a spitting image of the women's game, the senior drilled the first basket of the night from long range. Later in the half
Jay Workman hit back-to-back baskets to cut into the Mustang lead. Midway through the half Rivera hit a pair of baskets in a row to bring the Falcons back within two, 19-17.
Trevion Lamar scored four straight points to bring the Falcons into the locker room down 31-27.
The Falcons took a 38-37 lead early in the second half. Lamar and Workman each hit a pair of baskets to put them in front. The teams traded blows and the Falcons retook the lead with back-to-back threes 48-46 with 10:42 left in the game, but the Mustangs ended the game on a late surge to grab the 71-61 victory.
