UT Permian Basin Baseball's offense started the weekend red hot at No. 11 West Texas A&M. Michael Clapperton, Colin Fabio, Garrett Thornton, Oswaldo Godina and Nick Hernandez got things started with singles to give the Falcons a 3-0 lead. Thornton, Godina, and Hernandez all picked up an RBI in the rally.

In the second inning the Falcons added another run on a Clapperton single to the pitcher to score Pemron Burrows giving the Falcons a 4-2 lead.

In the fifth, Godina singled up the middle and later scored on a Jay DeSoto single. The Falcons would add one more run in the seventh on a Hernandez solo home run, but it wasn't enough as the Falcons fell to the Buffs 13-6.

Thornton led the offense, going 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. Nick Hernandez went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Clapperton, Godina, DeSoto and Jojo Allen IV all had multiple hits on the night.

Jake Rhode shined in the bullpen going three innings and striking out five Buffs.
