Coming off a huge performance on Saturday,
Alexus Quaadman followed it with another on Monday night, posting 16 points and 15 rebounds, both season highs. The double-double is the second in a row for the sophomore and third on the season for the Las Vegas native.
Cameron started the game strong going up 10-2 with the lone Falcon basket being a
Nokoia White jump shot. The Falcons climbed back into the game with an 11-3 run of their own.
Lauren Stallworth scored three during the run to pull the Falcons to within six, but the team trailed at the half 35-27.
In the second half Quaadman took over, recording her double-double with 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the half. The Falcons made things interesting in the second half, but an Aggie run in the third quarter kept them enough in front for the 76-65 final.
Quaadman led the team in points and rebounds while adding to her program record in double-doubles. She was finished just shy of her career-high of 16 rebounds, set in the final game of the season last year.
Avalon Munoz dished out six assists. Off the bench Stallworth had seven points to go along with four rebounds.
The Falcons continued to show why they are the best offensive rebounding team in the Lone Star Conference with 22 compared to Cameron's 13. They also led in fast break points 20-7, points in the paint 40-24 ,and second chance points 17-4.
The Falcons return to action Wednesday at UT Tyler. Tip off will be at 5 PM on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network. Be sure to download the UTPB Athletics App to keep up with your favorite Falcon sports teams.
