White Sparks Offense with Career-High Off the Bench

Nokoia White caught fire in the fourth quarter scoring seven of her 15 season-high points in the quarter, but it wasn't enough as the UT Permian Basin fell to Cameron 65-56 Tuesday afternoon at home.

Both teams started scoring right out of the gate as Rory Carter made the first basket of the game which was quickly answered by a layup from the Aggies (2-1). The teams traded points back and forth for much of the quarter and at the end of the first the Aggies led 21-17.

The Falcons (1-3) shot 54.5 percent in the second quarter and outscored the Aggies 18-9. Avalon Munoz hit a couple of free throws followed by a jump shot by Carter to tie the game 21-21. After a three by the Aggies, the Falcons got a basket from Lauren Stallworth and a three-pointer by Carter to give them the 26-24 advantage. The Aggies scored a layup to tie the game then the Falcons went on a 7-0 run, started by a three-pointer from Karyssa Jackson. The Falcons would go into the locker room up 35-30.

In the third, the Falcons kept up with the Aggies until they ended the quarter on a 10-0 run and went into the fourth with a nine-point lead. In the fourth, White led the charge for the Falcons scoring seven or the teams 11 points, but it wasn't enough as the Aggies held on 65-56.

White led the Falcons with 15 points with Carter finishing with nine. Alexus Quaadman collected seven rebounds and three blocks to lead the Falcons in those respected categories. Avalon Munoz had a game high six assists while making her first career start.
