Top 10 Most Kills in Volleyball History

UT Permian Basin Volleyball is the longest running sponsored sport on campus, playing since the mid-1990s.  The Falcons have had a history of success starting in the NAIA as a part of the Red River Conference before reaching the NCAA Tournament as a member of the Heartland Conference and most recently winning 20 games last season in the Lone Star Conference.  Throughout the years the Falcons have had plenty of fire power to get the offense going and rack up the points.

10. Keeley Brogdon, 2010-13, 901 Kills
Brogdon was a steady force for the Falcons with 901 career kills.She started her career with 197 kills as a freshman before two great years as an upperclassman.As a senior, she shattered her career high with 289.

9. Krystal Polk, 2006-08, 925
Polk places twice in the Falcons top 10 single season kills list.In 2007 she had 333 kills and followed it with 322 in 2008.Polk was part of a prolific Falcon attack that won back to back regular season Heartland Conference titles and won the 2008 Heartland Conference Tournament to reach the NCAA Tournament for the only time in program history.

8. Alex Genung, 2008-11, 935
Genung helped the Falcons reach the NCAA Tournament for the only time in school history as a freshman, as the Falcons won both the regular season and tournament championships for the Heartland Conference.Genung followed that with the best season of her career with 301 kills and is one of only six to reach that mark in the NCAA.She helped the Falcons return to the Heartland Conference playoffs in 2011 with another strong season recording 233 kills.

7. Jamie Rodell, 2009-12, 999
Rodell came just one kill shy of making it seven members of the 1,000 kills club.  She was not just a force on the offensive end, but defensively as she leads the Falcons all-time in NCAA blocks with 458.  She provided a presence up front for the Falcons as they won 19 games in 2011 and reached the Heartland Conference playoffs.

6. Molly Atnip, 2006-09, 1,103
Atnip had a stellar career as a Falcon including some big years.Atnip helped the Falcons to the NCAA Tournament in 2008 as the Falcons went 22-14 and won the Heartland Conference regular season and tournament championships.The 2006 Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year had a huge freshman season with 380 kills, a mark only surpassed by the number one spot on this list.

5. Sarah Koss, 1999-00, 1,124
Koss earned a pair of Second Team All-Region VI honors as the Falcons were one of the best in the Red River Conference.Koss helped the Falcons reach the NAIA Region VI Tournament in 1999 as the Falcons won the Red River Conference Championship.She also earned back to back All-Conference First Team honors in 1999 and 2000.

4. Bianca Olivas, 2002-05, 1,148
Olivas paced a terrific Falcon attack in 2005.The Falcons clinched the Red River Conference regular season and went into the tournament as the number one seed at 12-2.The Falcons reached the Region VI Tournament as Olivas earned All-Conference First Team honors in the Falcons final year in the NAIA.

3. Melissa Lusk, 2010-13, 1,222
Lusk had a prolific career, making the Heartland Conference All-Conference First Team three times as a Falcon.The Falcons had a strong 2011 season, winning 19 games and reaching the postseason.It would be the last time until 2018 the Falcons would reach the postseason, and the last time until 2019 the Falcons would finish the year above .500.Lusk's strong career includes three seasons of 300 or more kills including a career high 332 as a senior.

2. Brandi Cornish, 2000-03, 1,606
Cornish had a stellar career at UTPB, making four Red River All-Conference First Teams and two All-Region Teams.She led the Falcon attack to back to back Region VI Tournaments and back to back conference division championships. Cornish held the overall record until 2008 but will forever hold the Falcon NAIA record.

1. Amithy Henry, 2005-08, 2,028
The Falcons all-time leader in kills led the team to back to back regular season Heartland Conference championships when the Falcons first joined the NCAA.The Falcons went to the NCAA Tournament in 2008 as Henry made the All-Conference First Team and the Daktronics All-Region First Team.Henry had a strong NAIA career as well, leading the Falcons to the Region VI Tournament in 2005 while making the All-Region Team.Henry owns the top of the single season record books, with the top three spots since the Falcons joined the NCAA in 2006.No one else has eclipsed 400 kills in a season in that time, while Henry has three including two seasons over 500.
