UT Permian Basin baseball started their weekend with a 7-5 victory over St. Mary's, led by a 4-for-4 day by
Jonathan Bermudez. The senior finished with two doubles and a pair of RBI and scored a run in the win.
The Falcons (5-10) brought the bats early in the game, putting up a four spot in the top of the first.
Garrett Thornton drove in the first run on a double down the right field line scoring Jay Desoto for a 1-0 lead. Bermudez drove in two on a double to deep left field, and
Devin Ferrari later scored Bermudez on a single through the right side to give the Falcons a 4-0 lead. The Falcons increased their lead to 5-0 in the third on a balk with Thornton on third.

Michael Clapperton doubled to right center scoring
Nick Schnopp. Desoto collected a sacrifice fly to right scoring
Pemron Burrows for the final run of the game for the Falcons as they won 7-5.

Nick Bartley got the start for the Falcons and earned the win pitching six innings and allowing two earned runs while striking out three Rattlers.
Spencer Cofer earned his first save of the season closing out the final out for the Falcons.
The Falcons will be at Security Bank Park in Midland, TX for a double header against the Rattlers starting at 1 PM.
