Hemmeline and Quaadman Make History Against #6 LCU

Freshmn Holly Hemmeline and Alexus Quaadman each had a record setting night against #6 Lubbock Christian Thursday night.  With nine points, Hemmeline moved into first place in all-time freshman scoring, surpassing Tammy Acosta's 347 points in 2008-09.  Quaadman, in just her first season in orange and white, set the career blocks record previously held by Danielle Wilson.  Quaadman is now up to 47 blocks on the season.  She aso picked up her seventh double-double of the year with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Quaadman came in only needed one block to have sole possession of the record and she collected three on the night to lead the Falcons.  Hemmeline needed six points to tie the record, and reached that plateau with a three-pointer with 4:38 to play in the fourth quarter.
The Falcons biggest run of the night was a 10-2 run in the fourth quarter led by Hemmeline and Quaadman who had four points a piece as the Falcons fell to the defending national champions 75-44.

Quaadnab was the team's leading scorer with 10, followed by Hemmeline's nine.  Rory Carter finished with eight, while seniors Kristian James and Yazmin Batch finished with seven each.

Next up for the Falcons will be Senior Day on Saturday against Angelo State.  Seniors will be honored after the conclusion of the game, before the men's game.  Tip-off is schedueled for 2.
