The high-flying Falcons are back in action Sept. 7, opening at home with their first ever game against Wayland Baptist.  Fans of all ages can come out early and enjoy all of the pregame festivities, ranging from all-day tailgating, live music, jumpers, and lots of free food.

"Fans don't have to wait for the game to start to have a great time," said season ticket holder Kevin Slater. "With a fun, festive, family-oriented environment, there is something great for everyone."

UTPB is back home Sept. 28 when the Falcons take on Tarleton State.

"We can't wait to start the year with three home games in September, including the first two of the season. That hasn't happened since year one," said head coach Justin Carrigan. "I can't wait to see this team in action. This will be our first true senior class, and I love and appreciate that class more than they will ever know. I'm excited to see what's in store for their final season of Falcon football. There are still a few guys left from 2015 when we only practiced on a dirt field with one upright. The 2019 season can't get here fast enough, but I also won't be ready for it to over. I will miss this senior class, and they will forever hold a special place in my heart."

UT Permian Basin returns a number of talented players on both sides of the ball. All-American Chris Hoad leads a senior class of 27, the largest in UTPB's history. Hoad enters his final season after being named 1st-Team Lone Star Conference and was the Lone Star Conference Linebacker of the Year. He is currently the active leading tackler in the nation across all NCAA divisions with 369 total career tackles.

The Falcons come into the season having brought in their best-ever recruiting class. Featuring nine nationally ranked players, UTPB signed 56 student-athletes, including 51 from Texas.

Season tickets will be on sale later this spring, and fans will get more bang for their buck in 2019. Ticket prices remain the same as last season with an additional home game this year.
