Nyachistmas Puok set a new season-high scoring 15 points as UT Permian Basin fell to West Texas A&M 93-57.
The Lady Buffs (19-3) came out of the gate hitting their first three field goals taking an 8-0 lead. The Falcons (3-18) would climb back in the game with a balanced attack with five players scoring to make it 15-12. The Lady Buffs would respond with a 6-0 run to close the quarter and led 21-12. The Falcon defense struggled to slow down the Lady Buff offense who shot 68 percent in the first half as the Falcons trailed 46-24.
The Falcons traded points with the Lady Buffs in the third quarter, but the Lady Buffs would continue to pull away in the fourth quarter for the 93-57.
Puok would lead the Falcons with a career-high 15 points on 7-11 shooting while dishing out four assists.
Chynna Rivera added eight points all in the second half while
Kristian James also had eight points in the effort.
The Falcons return home next week where they'll face Cameron on Thursday and MSU Texas on Saturday.
