UT Permian Basin men's basketball out-shot West Texas A&M and ended the game with more rebounds,  but the turnover battle proved costly as the #7 Buffs defeated the Falcons 105-82 Saturday night in Canyon.

The Falcons connected on 56 percent of their field-goal attempts on the day, shooting 29-52 on the afternoon compared to the Buffs shooting 50 percent from the field. UT Permian Basin also out-rebounded West Texas 34-30, but the hometown Buffs committed just six turnovers to forcing 25 turnovers by the Falcons, and had a scoring-differential of 31 points off of turnovers on the night.

Jacob Ledoux led the Falcons with 19 points on the night, while Xavier Ledet had a double-double with 16 points and 14 total rebounds. Isaiah Hammons added 11 points and five assists, while Miles Washington scored 12 points.

Ryan Quaid led all scorers with 29 points on the night for West Texas A&M, added 10 rebounds in the game. Qua Grant and Brandon Hall each scored 20 points for the Buffs.

UT Permian Basin is back home this coming week, hosting Cameron and MSU Texas. Thursday night is Medical Center Hospital "Hoops for Hearts" White-Out Night. The first 400 fans in attendance will receive a free shirt courtesy of MCH.
