Demarco Jackson set a season high with 20 points, and
Isaiah Hammons tied his second highest point total for the season Saturday night, but the Falcons were unable to rally after trailing by 11 points at halftime in a 93-80 loss on the road against Angelo State in San Angelo, Texas.
The Falcons fell behind by double digits in the first five minutes, and while they were able to pull within four points at 18-14 with an eight-point run, six coming from Hammons, UTPB trailed by more than 10 points for much of the first half.
Jackson did the bulk of his damage in the second half, leading the UTPB offense with 12 points and a pair of 3-pointers in the game's final 20 minutes.
He ended the night with 20 points, hitting 8-12 from the field and 4-8 from 3-point range inf 32 minutes off of the bench.
Hammons added 18 points, going 6-9 from the floor with 6-8 from the free throw line.
Collin Turner scored 19 points off of the bench, one of three Rams in double figures in a reserve role, to lead Angelo State. Kiair Crouch hit six 3-pointers to add 18 points outside of the starting lineup.
The Falcons return home next week, closing out the regular season with games against Texas A&M Commerce and Tarleton State.
