Donoven Carlisle combined for 42 points and six Falcons scored in double figures as UT Permian Basin Men's Basketball blew out Dallas Christian 114-58 in front of over 3,000 MISD students as part of the first Education Game Tuesday afternoon at the Chap Center in Midland, Texas.
The Falcons had their best shooting performance as a team of 2019-20, hitting a collective 60 percent of their shots on the day (47-78) from the field. UTPB also hit 13 3-pointers on the afternoon in the 56-point win.
Carlisle had his best game of the season for the Falcons, scoring 20 points on 9-11 shooting from the floor with three steals and four rebounds.
Dembley scored in double-figures for the ninth straight game in 2019, leading UTPB with 22 points on 7-11 shooting with four three-pointers and four steals.
Miles Washington added 14 points in his return to the starting lineup, hitting 7-10 of his field goals on the day.
Elvin Rodriguez had a season-best 16 points in just 11 minutes off the bench, hitting 7-9 from the field for a season-high 16 points.
Brandon Derabine added 12 points on 5-6 shooting while
Malik Anderson chipped in 11 points with three 3-pointers, and
Fermandez Jones had a season-best eight assists.
The Falcons are back in Lone Star Conference action this week, taking on Midwestern State Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
