UT Permian Basin Swimming added five wins Saturday, three on the women's side and two by the men to close out their meet against Henderson State at the UTPB Pool.

FINAL RESULTS

Henderson State took a 183.5 to 131.5 win on the men's side, and defeated the women 165-149 on the weekend.

"It was a solid meet this weekend from our team and proud of the way we battled throughout," said Head Coach Cameron Kainer.  "Incredible first day for us with our relay victories and many top finishes.  We had a great finish to our second day with the Women's 400 Free Relay and the resiliency they had to finish the meet.  Hats off to Henderson on a great meet and we are excited to swim them at Mid Season and Conference.  We have a lot of work to continue to do, but this meet shows our progress so far and we are excited to keep working towards our goals."

UTPB picked up its first win of Saturday morning when Hunter Bishop swam the 100 Freestyle in 56.39 to place first overall.

Karley Thompson added a win in the 200 backstroke, beating the field with a time of 2:11.70. Jazmine Tscherne added a second place finish of 2:16.73, and Deena White placed third in the event in 2:18.81.

The women's 400 Freestyle Relay team of Thompson, Reese Delfeld, Tscherne and Bishop picked up the team's third win with a first place finish of 3:40.94.
