Khali Pippins-Tryon paced the Falcons with a game-high 21 points, but a slow first half sunk UT Permian Basin in their 92-58 loss to Texas A&M Commerce.
Early turnovers plagued the Falcons (3-15) as they would fall behind 9-0. The Lions (12-6) would continue to attack drawing the Falcons into foul trouble early in the ballgame. They would continue to pull away in the second quarter with the score at 52-22 at the half.
The teams would trade baskets for the duration of the third quarter with Pippins-Tryon scoring seven of the 18 Falcon points. She would finish the game knocking down a pair of three-pointers in the fourth quarter for the 92-58 final.
Pippins-Tryon tied for a game-high 21 points while
Lemia Ntor-Ue also finished in double figures with 10 points.
The Falcons continue their road trip heading west to take on Western New Mexico on Tuesday in Silver City before returning home to take on Texas Woman's on Thursday.
