UT Permian Basin finished its four game series with Texas A&M - Kingsville with a 13-1 loss on Sunday.

Things unraveled quickly in the third inning for the Falcons.  Kohl Ullman led off with a double for Kingsville before moving to third on an error.  Manny Loredo reached on a fielding error to take the 1-0 lead.  Christian Caudle followed that with a triple into the right field corner for the second run.  Caudle would come into score on a wild pitch.  Starting pitcher Ivan Thomas struck out four consecutive batters in the inning but one reached on a wild pitch.

Kingsville added four runs in the fifth on five hits to make the lead 7-0.  UTPB got a run back in the bottom of the sixth inning.  Tylor Frailey singled to start the inning for his third hit of the day.  Two batters later, Alex Wixson doubled in the left center field gap to make it 7-1.  UTPB couldn't hold it there as three pitchers combined to allow six runs in the seventh inning for the 13-1 final score.

Frailey led UTPB by going 3-3 with a run scored and finished the series 7-12 with four runs scored and two RBI.  Mitchell Hazlett added a pair of hits for the Falcons as well.   Thomas struck out eight in 4.2 innings and suffered his first loss on the season.

Kyle Craft improved to 2-0 on the season for Kingsville.  Ten Kingsville batters registered a hit and as a team they stole eight bases.

UTPB travels to Angelo State for a four game series starting Friday night in San Angelo.
