UT Permian Baseball scored seven runs Sunday, but Fort Hays State scored in six of nine innings and took advantage of a number of UTPB errors in a 13-7 win over the Falcons Sunday afternoon in Odessa at Roden Field.
Fort Hays State scored the first five runs of the game before the Falcons scored their first of the day, an RBI single by Cole Dickie that drove in Skyler Palermo.
Palermo later drove in a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, hitting a two-run double to score Tyler Vlasek and Simon Clarke.
Three different Falcons drove in runs in the bottom of the seventh, when
Mike Fernandez, Chris Ortega each drove in a run and Tony Oslovar drove home a pair.
Alex Weiss led the Tigers with three hits while seven different Tigers drove in a run.
The Falcons are back home Tuesday, hosting University of the Southwest at 2 p.m.
