UT Permian Basin women's basketball fell to No. 10 Lubbock Christian 82-39 in Lubbock.
The first quarter was all Lady Chaps (4-0), who jumped on the Falcons (1-3) to a 7-0 lead.Â
Sarah Bersang's jumper would give the Falcons their first points but another Lady Chap run would push their lead to 26-5 after a quarter. The teams would trade baskets to open the second quarter with Bersang scoring five points, but not before another Lady Chap run pushed their lead to 30.Â
The Lady Chaps would continue their scoring barrage, ending the third quarter on a 10-0 run, while holding the Falcons to just 10 points in the quarter. Alexandria Washington would knock down a pair threes while
Alexus Moore would add one as well in the final quarter.Â
Nyachristmas Puok and
Lemia Ntor-Ue led the Falcons with eight points a piece. Lubbock Christian did most of their damage from deep where they went 16-30.
The Falcons travel to Colorado next week where they'll take on Regis in a rematch of their opening night on Friday before heading to Colorado School of Mines on Saturday.
