UT Permian Basin women's basketball rebounded from a slow start to out-score Arlington Baptist 61-36 in the second half of a 90-73 victory Monday night in Odessa.
Kayla Bretherton led the Falcons with 25 points on the day, scoring 17 in the second half. She led the Falcons with six assists and grabbed four steals on the day.Â
Two other Falcons scored in double figures in the second half;
Jasmine Spriggins hit 3-4 from 3-point range on her way to scoring 13 points in the second, and Khali Pippins-Tryon also hit three from beyond the arc after halftime.
Pippins-Tryon ended the game with 18 points and five rebounds, while Jackie Perez had 10 points, a team-high 11 rebounds, a team best six steals and five assists.
UTPB is back in conference action this week, traveling to Kingsville, Texas, for a 5:30 p.m. Lone Star Conference game at Texas A&M - Kingsville.
