UT Permian Basin women's basketball led 18-16 after the first quarter, but were out-scored 14-3 in the final 10 minutes of the first half in an eventual 59-55 loss on the road Thursday night at Texas A&M - Kingsville.
The Falcons out-scored the Javelinas in three of four quarters, but were unable to overcome the 11-point difference in the second quarter.
Khali-Pippins-Tyron led the Falcons with 19 points on the night, hitting 6-11 from the field for the game and 5-6 from the free throw line. She also snagged a team-best nine rebounds.
Kayla Bretherton added 14 points on five field goals with seven rebounds and three assists.
Angelica Wilson led Kingsville as one of six players with at least seven points, scoring 10 on 4-6 shooting with 10 rebounds.
