UT Permian Basin baseball scored in each of the first two innings Thursday afternoon, but Tarleton State scored the final 13 runs of the day as the Texans grabbed a 14-2 win in the opening game of a four-game set in Stephenville, Texas.

William Bierlein came in from third on a sacrifice fly by
Chris Ortega for a 2-1 advantage.
Tarleton State took the lead for good with a four-run fourth inning and added a three-spot in the fifth before hitting a pair of home runs in the eighth to score five.
