Day 2
Six different Falcons won individual events as UT Permian Basin men's and women's swimming completed its first dual of the season against Henderson State Saturday morning in Odessa.
Five different Falcon men picked up a victory on the morning. Matthew Hawyard took first in 4:59.19 in the 500 Freestyle.
Jacob Allard was first in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 1:58.70.
George Black won the 200 Breaststroke in 2:17.95.
Nikita Naumov was first overall in the 200 Butterfly with a first-place finish of 1:57.78.
Jeremy Pantalion won the 200 IM, besting the field in 2:03.38.
Deena White was the lone Falcon to win on the women's side, finishing first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:21.41.
Day 1
Permian Basin men's and women's swimming kicked off its 2017-18 seasons Friday night with day one of a two-day dual against Henderson State at the UTPB Pool in Odessa.
Both teams each had a win on the night.
Jacob Allard took first place in the 400 IM for the UTPBÂ men with a winning time of 4:25.85, and
Jennifer Sites swam the 100 Backstroke for the Falcon women in 1:03.10.
Deena White finished second in the save event in 1:03.22 and added a second place finish of 5:04.51 in the 400 IM.
Hunter Bishop was runner up in the 200 Freestyle in 2:02.68, and Kelsey Castro was second in the 100 Butterfly in 1:02.30. The UTPB women had a pair of second-place relays; the 200 Freestyle (Bishop, Castro,
Christina Velarde and
Sarah Waldren) in 1:45.61, and White,
Juliana Dias, Sites and Bishop in 4:15.79 in the 400 Medley Relay.

Nikita Naumov was second in the 200 Freestyle (1:46.85),
Patrick Flores second in the 100 Butterfly (54.31), Gustavo Resende in 55.28 in the 100 Backstroke,
Jeremy Pantalion in 1:02.42 in the 100 breaststroke, and
Brandon Hay in 22.60 in the 50 Freestyle. The relay team of Hay, Pantalion,
Errol Lizzotte and
Nolan Hines was second in the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:28.09), and Resende, Pantalion, Naumov and hay were second in 3:40.89 in the 400 Medley Relay.
The two teams are back in action for the second of two days of action Saturday morning at 10 a.m.Â
