UT Permian Basin couldn't get its offense going against Lone Star Conference leader Eastern New Mexico Saturday afternoon, suffering an 81-56 defeat in Portales, N.M.
The two teams opened conference play earlier in the season with a close two-point Falcon loss in December, but the Falcons were held to just 26 percent shooting on offense as the Greyhounds won each of the game's four quarters.
Sierra LaGrande led UTPB in scoring on the day, dropping 15 points off of 3-6 shooting beyond the 3-point line for her third straight game in double-figure scoring.
Niva Taito added 13 points for UTPB and
Heather Crittenden scored 10 in the middle for the Falcons.
Brandi Gomez led a trio of Greyhounds in double-figures with 15 points for Eastern New Mexico. ENMU ended the game shooting 42 percent from 3-point range.
UTPB is back in action right away Sunday as the Falcons return home to take on Arlington Baptist Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
