But that was the full extent of the UTPB scoring on the day as Oklahoma Christian held the Falcons scoreless over the final six innings. The Eagles pulled within a run on a pair of RBI base hits in the fifth, and a two-run single in the seventh put OCU ahead for the second time on the day.
Alex Fernandez led UTPB with a 3-4 afternoon with a run and RBI as UTPB out-hit Oklahoma Christian 13-12, but struggled to piece together hits all afternoon with runners on base.
UTPB is on the road Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Plainview for a single game at Wayland Baptist.
