UTPB baseball closed out a three-game set with UA Fort Smith Saturday afternoon as the Falcons were blanked 12-0 at Roden Field in Odessa.
The Lions held the Falcons to seven hits and a pair of walks through seven innings.
Kevin Barnes led UTPB with a 2-3 day at the plate with a double batting fifth.
Arkansas-Fort Smith put up four runs in the top of the first and went on to score in three more innings, including five in the top of the fourth to go ahead 10-0.
Ryan Justus led the Lions with a 5-5 day at the plate with three runs and three RBI, hitting a natural cycle through four at bats.
UTPB is back at home this week in midweek action, facing University of the Southwest in a pair of games Tuesday afternoon beginning at 1 p.m.
