UTPB women's tennis picked up a big 5-4 victory over Western New Mexico and the men's team earned a 7-2 conference win against Dallas Baptist as the Falcons hosted the 2015 West Texas Shootout at Bush Tennis Center in Midland, Texas.

The Falcon women started off the weekend with a one-point victory over the Mustangs. Andrea Villalobos (7-5, 6-1 #2 singles), Alexandra Maytubby (6-4, 7-6, 6-2 #3 singles) and Sydney Holdampf (3-6, 6-4, 6-3 #6 singles) each earned a singles victory.

UTPB took two of three doubles points as Holdampf/Olivia Baltazar won #2 doubled 8-4 and Villalobos/Krissy Chavez earned an 8-6 win.

The UTPB men took five of six singles matches later in the week in a 7-2 conference victory over Dallas Baptist. The Falcons got wins from Justin Pena (2-6, 6-4, 10-7) at #1, Thomas Rice (1-6, 6-3, 10-7) at #2, Caio Aguiar at #4 (6-0, 6-0), Mateus Munhoz (6-2, 6-1) at #5 and a 6-3, 7-5 #6 win from Adam Cheney.

The teams of Rice/Aguiar won at #2 doubles 8-3, and Munhoz/Leo Luna won at #3 doubles 8-2.
