UTPB Volleyball suffered a 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-12) defeat to non-conference opponent Angelo State Tuesday night in Odessa.
The Falcons played the Rambelles tough in the opening two sets, scoring the first three points of the night and staying within a point throughout much of the first set until the end. UTPB also led late in the second set again until Angelo State rallied in the final moments.
Puava Tulau led UTPB with seven kills on the evening, hitting .214 on the night.
Annelise Sanchez led all players with four blocks.
Ariana Gallardo paced UTPB with 16 assists and
Marina Salazar had nine digs for the Falcons.
