UTPB Volleyball picked up its second straight win Thursday night with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-15) sweep of Oklahoma Panhandle State at home in Heartland Conference action.
The Falcons hit 39 kills to 11 errors, good for a .275 percentage on the night, to just 31 kills and a .147 hitting percentage for the Aggies.
Caitlyn Guajardo led all attackers with 13 kills on the eveninig.
Erica Poe (four) and
Morgann Davis (three) combined for seven total blocks.
Marina Salazar led everyone in the match with 13 digs, and
Ariana Gallardo had a match-high 21 assists.
The Falcons reversed an 8-4 Oklahoma Panhandle State lead in the third set into a 9-8 advantage, and later scored seven of eight points to go on top 17-12 before taking the set win by 10 points.
UTPB hits the road next week, traveling to Dallas for a 7 p.m. Thursday match at Dallas Baptist.
