Box Score UTPB women's soccer suffered a 2-0 defeat in non-conference action Thursday night, hosting Lubbock Christian at the UTPB Soccer Field.

Tied 0-0 minutes into the second half, Brooke Wendl scored the first of the night on a shot from the right side of the box after dribbling in that goalkeeper Ebony Campbell deflected but reached the back of the net.

Kristin Fellows doubled up the LCU lead in the 64th minute, heading in a bouncing corner kick deflected from Jamie Boone from up close in the box for a 2-0 lead.

Lubbock Christian held a 21-6 shot advantage on the night, with 12 shots reaching net to three for UTPB. 

The Falcons are back on the road this weekend, traveling to Angelo State for a 1 p.m. Sunday contest.
